Donation to support low-income families during their formative years.

  • Bank funds new kindergarten

  • Support extends to elderly care

  • Cultural centre also backed

Ahli United Bank has announced a charitable donation to the Children and Mothers Welfare Society to help build a kindergarten for underprivileged children in Bahrain, reaffirming its long-standing commitment to community care and early childhood development.

The initiative aims to provide access to quality early education for children from low-income families, many of whom face barriers to structured learning.

Wider support

The bank’s contribution is part of a broader effort to support key welfare and cultural organisations in the Kingdom. Alongside the kindergarten initiative, AUB also extended support to Dar Al Manar for Parents Care and the Shaikh Ebrahim Bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Centre for Culture and Research.

According to the bank, the donation to Dar Al Manar will be used to strengthen programmes that support Bahrain’s elderly residents, while its continued contribution to the Shaikh Ebrahim Centre will aid ongoing cultural and heritage initiatives.

CSR commitment

“AUB remains committed to giving back to the community through meaningful investments in social welfare,” the bank stated in its announcement. “Supporting education, care, and cultural preservation aligns with our values and long-term corporate responsibility goals.”

With this latest round of donations, Ahli United Bank continues to demonstrate a holistic approach to CSR—addressing needs across generations, from early childhood education to elder care and cultural enrichment.

The Children and Mothers Welfare Society has been active in Bahrain since 1961, making it one of the Kingdom’s oldest non-profit organisations dedicated to child development and family support.
