Zain Business has inked a strategic deal with Orchid Developers to deliver high-speed fibre connectivity to all Orchid Towers, marking a significant step in Bahrain’s growing shift toward smart residential and commercial developments.
The agreement positions Orchid Towers among the first high-rise clusters in the Kingdom to fully integrate telecom-grade infrastructure at scale, with Zain taking the lead in shaping Bahrain’s next-generation digital real estate.
Digital shift
Zain Business, the B2B arm of Zain Bahrain, will install next-generation fibre-optic and wireless networks across all Orchid properties. The move is part of Zain’s broader drive to accelerate Bahrain’s digital transformation by embedding smart infrastructure in high-density living spaces.
Ali Mustafa, Chief of Business and Wholesale Officer at Zain Bahrain, said the agreement demonstrates Zain’s commitment to transforming the urban living experience. “We are honoured to partner with Orchid Developers to bring high-performance internet to their landmark projects,” he said. “Zain aims to set a new standard for high-rise buildings and properties with smart connectivity solutions across the Kingdom.”
Value-added living
Orchid Developers, one of the first firms to offer freehold commercial and residential projects in Bahrain, said the partnership would elevate the quality of life for its residents and tenants.
“This collaboration ensures our communities benefit from future-ready digital solutions,” said Dr Bashar Ahmadi, CEO of Orchid Developers. “It’s about enhancing convenience, value, and long-term sustainability in everything we build.”
The project reflects a growing demand for plug-and-play digital services in Bahrain’s urban housing market, especially among younger and tech-savvy residents who consider seamless internet as essential as water and electricity.
Connected future
Zain Business continues to expand its offerings beyond traditional telecom services, providing IoT, cloud platforms, and smart solutions to support a range of enterprise and residential needs. The partnership with Orchid is a signal that developers and telcos are increasingly working in tandem to shape Bahrain’s connected urban future.
With high-rises forming the backbone of new cityscapes, the Zain-Orchid alliance could well serve as a blueprint for how infrastructure providers and developers collaborate in designing the next generation of smart buildings.
