Alba promotes two Bahraini nationals to key leadership positions

Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), the world’s largest aluminium smelter on one site, announced the promotion of two highly accomplished Bahraini nationals, Hussain Al Halwachi and Abdulrahman Almulla, to key leadership positions within the Company. These promotions highlight Alba’s long-standing commitment to developing its national workforce from within the ranks, nurturing talent, and building future leaders.

Hussain Al Halwachi has been promoted to Acting Manager Research & Development. Al Halwachi is a highly accomplished Senior Chemist with 27 years of experience in industrial laboratories and metallurgy. He currently heads the main laboratory at Customer Technical Support (CTS), where he has achieved significant milestones, including ranking Alba Lab among the top 10 globally for carbon analysis. With a strong academic foundation (MBA with highest honours from FABS-ESSEC University) and a passion for research (PhD candidate since October 2024), Hussain is a respected leader in the field.

Abdulrahman Almulla has been promoted to Acting ESG Manager. Almulla, MBA graduate from the College of William & Mary, is a sustainability-focused Product Specialist and Engineer at Alba with a proven ability to drive innovation and improve customer satisfaction.
