186 illegal vendors removed from Bahrain streets

Southern Governorate Police Directorate yesterday conducted an inspection campaign along with Southern Municipality and the Ministry of Interior to combat irregular employment and illegal street vendors in the Ras Zuweid area.
The campaign resulted in the removal of 186 violating vendors and the confiscation of items kept by them on display.
Police confiscated clothes, phone accessories and foodstuffs during the campaign.
Authorities said they are pursuing legal measures to refer the violators to Public Prosecution.
Southern Police Directorate said it would continue inspection campaigns throughout the year.
