Works Ministry begins BD 863,260 road development project in Riffa

Works Ministry announced starting a BD 863,260 road development project for complex 913 in Riffa, Southern Governorate.
Sayed Badr Alawi, the Director of Roads Projects and Maintenance Department at the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning, said the project aims to improve the internal road network, enhance traffic safety and alleviate rainwater gathering in the area.
Works include developing Road 1311 and 1317, roads in the northern part, pedestrian sidewalks, a network for rainwater drainage, lighting, traffic signs and signboards and safety barriers.
The project also includes re-paving and establishing the infrastructure for roads 1311, 1213, and re-paving other roads 1301, 1304, 1307, 1379, and 1369 with asphalt, and establishing parking spaces.
