Saad crowned champion

Mohammed Saad was crowned champion of the International Bodybuilding Championship at the Fourth Flex Bodybuilding Festival 2015 held at the Alba Club gym in Riff. The Egyptian bodybuilder topped the main event of the day and halting the host country’s Abdulwahed Al Asfoor challenge who had to settle for a silver, while Hasan Mohammed of Saudi Arabia clinched the bronze. Omar Khaldi of Morocco, Saudi Arabia’s Musalam Al Mabyook and Egypt’s Emad Ali were tanked fourth to sixth, respectively. Three more weight categories took place as Bahraini Ahmed Jassim clinched the 70kg gold medal. Mohammed Darwish, Ashraf Mohammed, Mohsin Mohammed and Ali Abdulla, all of Saudi Arabia, took second to fifth places.In the 80kg event, Saudi Arabia’s Hussain Nasser put on a good show to win the competition’s gold medal against Neipal’s Lalit Diamal, who came second. Syria’s Mustafa Mohammed was third, followed by Aref Hebatallah of Yemen, Saudi Arabia’s Hassan Abdulmohsin and Bahraini Ali Abdulla. Morocco’s Abdulwahed Touri registered a well-earned victory for gold in the above 90kg contest, beating Saudi Arabia’s Othman Haowsawi and Kuwaiti Isa Abdulhadi, who were second and third, respectively. Mousa Jaffer and Abdulla Jawad, both of Saudi Arabia, came in fourth and fifth and followed in sixth by Tunisia’s Ahmed Abdulsalam.Excitement mounted late on as the cheering audience witnessed a well-contested International Physique Championship, which saw Kuwaiti Mohammed Jassim win the 172cm gold medal. Mohammed Abdoof Saudi Arabia was second place for the silver with the bronze going to Fahad Bader of Kuwait. Abdulla Ebrahim was fourth, followed by Ahmed Jawad of Kuwait and Hussain Adnan. In the above 172cm category, Saadon Fuad of Saudi Arabia claimed the gold, followed by Bahraini Jassim Mohammed with a silver and Saudi Arabia’s Abdulla Najeeb getting bronze, with Kuwait’s Ali Al Matrook fourth place, followed by Mohammed Al Sharafa of Saudi Arabia and Kuwaiti Abdulla Najeeb. A number of side activities took place on the day, as Jaber Adel of Al Daih Club was named winner of the International Strong Man with a time of three minutes and 26.12 seconds. Ali Al Fazei of Saudi Arabia’s Al Jubail Club (3:53.47) and Mahmood Attiya (3:56.32) of the Hulk Gym were second and third. Kadhim Fadel (5:28.19) came in fourth, Sayed Qassim Saeed (3:24.11) of Hulk Gym fifth and Jaber Al Aradi (3:54.58) of Al Dair Club sixth. In the International Kyokushin Karate Championship, Zaynab Al Saffar, Zaynab Isa, Mahmood Mohammed, Jaffer Ali, Elyas Khalil, Ahmed Salah, Saeed Saleh, Reda Qassim, Danial, Mohammed Ebrahim, Mohammed Jassim and Ali Hussain all topped their age categories events. In Greco-Roman wrestling, Mohammed Al Maskati, Abdulla Al Fayez and Aldar Darouf were crowned champions, while the Muai Thai event saw Ali Abdulreda and Jamal Jalal win their respective category events. Vice-President of the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness, and President of the Asian Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness and BWF Shaikh Abdulla bin Rashid Al Khalifa was present to witness the action and honour the winners.
