CBB to take part in Consumer Protection Awareness Expo
Manama : The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) announced it will participate in the Consumer Protection Awareness Expo for eCommerce and eFraud Crimes, taking place at City Centre Galleria from March 1 – 3.
Held under the patronage of Zayed bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, the expo is being organised by the Consumer Protection Directorate within the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism in cooperation with the Ministry of the Interior and CBB.
The expo aims at spreading awareness about consumer protection in e-transactions, and educate the general public on related topics.
Khalid Hamad, Executive Director of Banking Supervision at CBB, commented “Together we seek to ensure that consumers take reasonable measures to protect their personal information and financial data, and exercise due care and caution in their electronic financial dealings.”
