RIZAL DAY CELEBRATION

All is set for the celebration of Rizal Day by the Filipino community in Bahrain today. Rizal Day marks the 120th death anniversary of Philippine National Hero Dr. Jose P. Rizal. Commemoration of the martyrdom of Dr. Jose P. Rizal and medical mission will be held at the Philippine Embassy grounds in Bahrain from 7am to 1pm. The programme is organized by the Order of the Knights of Rizal(OKOR) Bahrain chapter in association with the embassy. The theme of the programme is : Dr. Jose P. Rizal: Epitome of sublime sacrifice and absolute dedication to the Filipino people. The programme will start with the flag raising ceremony in the morning . Philippine Ambassador Alfonso A Ver will give the inspirational message. There will be wreath-laying rites in front of a portrait of Rizal, the invocation and the singing of the national anthems. Master of the ceremony will be Emmanuel Morales.
FIFTH AL-BASTA MARKET

The fifth edition of the Al-Basta Ma The fifth edition of the Al-Basta Market is open at Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), with the participation of the Bahraini music which perform folklore songs.
The market’s area is increased this year to pave the way for recreational family activities and child games. This year’s edition aims to consolidate Bahrain’s cultural identity through the focus on theatrical shows that will bring to life Bahrain’s traditions.
Organised by the Southern Governorate, the Al-Basta Market provides a platform for vendors from individual, productive families, micro and small enterprises as well as farmers from Bahrain’s governorates to display their products. Al Basta 5 will continue on a weekly basis on Friday and Saturday until February 11, 2017. It will open from 3:00pm to 9:00pm.
KCA NEW YEAR AND CHRISTMAS CELEBRATIONS

KCA will celebrate its New Year and Christmas celebrations on Saturday, December 31, at 9:00 pm onwards. The KCA Talent Scan inauguration also will take place on the same day.
The inauguration of the Talent Scan will be at 9:00 pm.
The actual competitions will only start on the 5th of January 2017. The
New Year celebrations will follow the inauguration. There will be colorful programs and special arrangements to receive the New Year 2017.
