RCO to organise conference on humanitarian action

ManamaThe Royal Charity Organisation (RCO), will organise the seventh annual Conference for Effective Partnerships and Information Sharing for Better Humanitarian Action under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. 

More than 250 persons involved in humanitarian work in various charity and relief organisations and institutions across the world are expected to participate in the event.

The conference is held in cooperation with the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Action (OCHA) and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation Humanitarian Funds (OICHF) from October 31 to November 1. 

RCO Secretary-General Dr. Mustafa Al-Sayed said that preparations were in full swing to organise the conference.

He said that the conference aims to come up with a common understanding on ways to monitor and follow-up on the implementation of the announced pledges and the role played by organisations to achieve the best results.

HM the King’s Personal Representative for Charity Work and Youth Affairs and RCO’s Board of Trustees Chairman, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa stressed
the importance of the conference as a platform for leading humanitarian and relief aid sides in the region to confront challenges facing humanitarian organisations at all levels.

He also extended sincerest thanks to HM King Hamad for patronisng the event.
