Fifth Consumer Protection Ambassadors Honoured
The Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MOIC) honoured the fifth cohort of the Consumer Protection Ambassadors initiative, organised in partnership with the Ministry of Youth Affairs to empower Bahraini youth and strengthen consumer awareness.
Industry and Commerce Minister Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro said investing in young Bahrainis remains a national priority, noting that the initiative equips participants with practical knowledge and skills to promote consumer rights, transparency and fair commercial practices.
Youth Affairs Minister Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi described the programme as a successful model for youth empowerment, highlighting its role in preparing young Bahrainis to contribute to national development and foster informed consumer behaviour.
The latest cohort completed specialised training, practical workshops and field visits to commercial establishments, gaining experience in consumer protection laws, market regulations and complaint-handling mechanisms. The initiative aims to build a generation of young ambassadors who will help enhance consumer confidence and support Bahrain's vision for a competitive and sustainable economy.
