Ebrahim Dalhan Aldoseri, Acting Secretary General of Bahrain's Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF), participated in a high-level meeting organised by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) at the Vienna International Centre to discuss private sector-led industrial recovery in Syria, Palestine, and Sudan.

The meeting brought together representatives from governments, the private sector, humanitarian organisations, and development partners to explore practical strategies for supporting economic recovery, rebuilding productive industries, strengthening livelihoods, and promoting long-term stability in the three countries.

Discussions focused on national priorities for industrial recovery, mobilising international support, and developing partnerships to revive key productive sectors while advancing sustainable economic and social development.

Delivering a keynote address, Aldoseri stressed that investing in people is essential to building resilient societies capable of overcoming challenges and achieving sustainable development in an evolving humanitarian landscape.

He highlighted the Royal Humanitarian Foundation's 25-year journey as one of Bahrain's leading humanitarian and development institutions, noting that it has supported more than 32,000 orphans and widows through integrated programmes covering education, healthcare, psychological and social care, and economic empowerment.

Aldoseri said the Foundation's work extends beyond emergency relief to include long-term development projects in education, healthcare, housing, reconstruction, and capacity building across 17 countries, including Palestine, Syria, and Sudan. These initiatives have helped strengthen community resilience, support recovery efforts, and improve long-term stability.

He reaffirmed the RHF's commitment to expanding cooperation with United Nations agencies, international organisations, and development partners to advance initiatives that contribute to safer, more stable, and more prosperous communities affected by crises.

On the sidelines of the meeting, Aldoseri held bilateral talks with Salah Abdel Shafi, Ambassador of the State of Palestine; Magdi Ahmed Mofadal Al Nour, Ambassador of the Republic of the Sudan; and Hassan Khaddour, Ambassador of the Syrian Arab Republic.

The meetings reviewed the Foundation's humanitarian and relief initiatives and explored opportunities to strengthen future cooperation through joint development programmes. Discussions also highlighted the importance of expanding sustainable projects that promote economic recovery, entrepreneurship, and improved livelihoods, enabling vulnerable communities to transition from reliance on humanitarian assistance to long-term self-reliance.
