South Korean Cargo Ship Hit by Unidentified Aircraft in Strait of Hormuz

A South Korean cargo vessel, HMM Namu, was struck by two unidentified aircraft in the Strait of Hormuz on May 4, according to South Korea’s foreign ministry.
The strikes caused flames and smoke near the ship’s stern before the damaged vessel later arrived safely in Dubai.

U.S. President Donald Trump blamed Iran for the attack, while Tehran denied involvement.

The incident has raised fresh concerns over security in the strategically important Gulf shipping route.
