HM King receives call from Al Azhar Grand Imam

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received a telephone call from His Eminence Professor Dr. Ahmed Al Tayyeb, Grand Imam of Al Azhar Al Sharif.
The Grand Imam condemned the Iranian attack targeting the territory of the Kingdom of Bahrain, emphasising the importance of Arab and Islamic countries’ solidarity in safeguarding sovereignty, security and territorial integrity.
His Eminence commended the Kingdom’s role in promoting moderation, tolerance, and coexistence, wishing His Majesty and the people of Bahrain blessed returns of the holy month of Ramadhan.
His Majesty the King affirmed that the people of Bahrain are peaceful and believe in tolerance and coexistence, and that the Kingdom remains committed to the path of peace and supports all that strengthens security and stability in the region and the world. HM King Hamad expressed deep appreciation for the sincere support conveyed by the Grand Imam towards Bahrain.
