Gulf Air and Etihad Flights Join Bahrain-UAE Single-Point Travel Pilot
The first pilot phase of the single-point travel system between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates has officially commenced, operating through Bahrain International Airport and Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport. The initiative aims to simplify travel procedures for citizens of both countries.
The new system allows travelers to complete all travel formalities through a single checkpoint, significantly speeding up passenger flow and reducing waiting times. This initiative reflects the close cooperation between the relevant authorities in both countries and enhances the efficiency of air travel between the two nations.
During the pilot phase, the system will be applied to passengers flying with Gulf Air and Etihad Airways. Authorities will evaluate the results of the trial before expanding the program to later stages.
The launch of this system aligns with the Gulf Cooperation Council’s ongoing efforts to strengthen border integration and develop a unified travel framework, underscoring the deep fraternal ties between Bahrain and the UAE.
