Bahrain Open Tennis Challenger Kicks Off, Open to Public

The fifth edition of the Bahrain Open Tennis Challenger has officially begun at the Police Officers Club and will run until February 1. The tournament, open to the public, highlights Bahrain’s growing reputation as a host for world-class sporting events.

Mohamed Alsayed, Tournament Director, told Daily Tribune,"Having so many international players in Bahrain is a great achievement for us. The Police Officers Club is very proud. This year, we introduced electronic line calling for the first time in Bahrain, marking a new milestone in our tournament."

Captain Safeya Alhajeri, Tournament Organizer, added that "The event is open to the public and everyone is welcome. Last year, this Challenger Series was recognized as the best tournament, which was a huge accomplishment for us. Each year, we continue to improve and raise the standard."

This year’s edition features six players ranked in the top 100, underlining the tournament’s competitive appeal. Organizers also highlighted a new digital application that streamlines the experience for players and spectators, providing easy access to bookings, schedules, results, and ticketing through a single platform.

The fifth edition of the Bahrain Open Tennis Challenger now stands as a clear marker of the Kingdom’s ambition and growing confidence on the international tennis stage. Preparations for the next edition have already begun, promising even higher standards in the years ahead.
