Bahrain Adopts Comprehensive National Approach to Safeguard Children’s Rights

Manama: The Women’s Committee of the Bahraini Shura Council has affirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain has adopted a comprehensive national approach to protecting childhood and promoting children’s rights, with the aim of building a cohesive society and securing a prosperous future.
The committee highlighted that this approach reflects the Kingdom’s unwavering commitment to child welfare under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the close follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
The committee stressed that Bahrain’s policies and initiatives place children at the heart of national development, focusing on protection, care, education and empowerment. It noted that these efforts are supported by legislation, national strategies and institutional cooperation that collectively ensure the safeguarding of children’s rights and their healthy development.
The Women’s Committee added that investing in childhood is a fundamental pillar for social stability and sustainable development, reaffirming Bahrain’s continued commitment to advancing policies and programmes that enhance the wellbeing of children and strengthen family and community cohesion.
