Historic Milestone for KSCA: Dr. Bindu Nair Appointed as First Female General Secretary

In a historic first for government-approved expatriate associations in Bahrain, Dr. Bindu Nair has taken charge as the General Secretary of the Kerala Social and Cultural Association (KSCA). She was unanimously elected during the association’s Annual General Body meeting. Dr. Nair officially assumed her duties after receiving a copy of the association's constitution from President Rajesh Nambiar. This appointment marks a significant shift in the leadership landscape of community organizations in the Kingdom.

In her acceptance speech, Dr. Nair outlined her vision for the term, emphasizing a focus on financial discipline, the empowerment of women and youth, and the implementation of projects aligned with Bahrain Vision 2030. President Rajesh Nambiar remarked that the presence of a woman in such a key leadership role would bring new energy and a positive transformation to the organization's activities.

The meeting also saw the presentation of the annual activity report by Acting General Secretary Satheesh, while Vice President Anil Kumar U.K. presented the audit report. The session, attended by executive members and former office-bearers, concluded with detailed discussions on the association’s future roadmap and upcoming community initiatives.
