Interior and Health Ministries Coordinate to Enhance National Ambulance Services

In a high-level move to modernize emergency medical response, His Excellency Lieutenant General Tariq bin Hassan Al Hassan, Chief of Police, met today with Dr. Luluah Shuwaiter, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, and Dr. Mariam Al Jalahma, CEO of Government Hospitals.
The meeting follows a Cabinet directive tasking the Ministry of Interior with coordinating with health authorities to develop and optimize national ambulance operations. The discussions were attended by His Excellency Sheikh Nasser bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, alongside representatives from the Supreme Council of Health.
The Chief of Police emphasized that cross-sector integration is a fundamental pillar in serving the community. He praised the ongoing collaboration between the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Health, and various health institutions, noting that such synergy is vital for improving the quality of life for both citizens and residents.
A primary focus of the meeting was enhancing emergency readiness. Officials discussed strategies to refine first aid delivery and streamline the process of stabilizing injured individuals until they reach a hospital for advanced treatment. The talks also explored specialized ways to develop emergency medicine services through closer cooperation with government hospitals and local health centers.
