Northern Governor Discusses Food Security and Agricultural Initiatives with Bahrain Agricultural Cooperative Society

His Excellency Mr. Hassan Abdullah Al Madani, Governor of the Northern Governorate, received Mr. Yousef Al Bouri, Vice President of the Bahrain Agricultural Cooperative Society, at his office today to discuss the development of the local agricultural sector. The meeting was attended by Deputy Governor Brigadier Abdullah Ali Rashid Maantar and several members of the society.

During the session, Governor Al Madani emphasized the Northern Governorate’s commitment to supporting agricultural initiatives that align with "Healthy Cities" standards. He highlighted that enhancing food security and encouraging healthy production and consumption patterns are vital for the sustainability of the sector and the well-being of the community.

The Governor further stressed the importance of community partnership and the need to bolster the local market by promoting Bahraini agricultural products. He noted that such support is essential for empowering local farmers and ensuring the growth of the domestic industry.

For his part, Mr. Yousef Al Bouri expressed his appreciation to the Northern Governorate for its continued support and focus on the agricultural sector. He affirmed the society’s eagerness to maintain joint cooperation to enhance the role of Bahraini farmers in the nation's agricultural development journey.
