HRH Prince Salman pushes for use of advanced technologies to strengthen financial system

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, underscored the importance of maximising innovative digital technologies to enhance the Kingdom’s financial system.

He emphasised that this approach will ensure the sector continues to advance in line with global economic developments. HRH Prince Salman made the remarks as he met yesterday with His Excellency Shaikh Khalifa bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, Chief Executive Officer of Bahrain Bourse, at Gudaibiya Palace.

His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Court, was also in attendance.

Competitiveness

His Royal Highness highlighted the role of Bahrain Bourse in enhancing the Kingdom’s competitiveness.

He underscored the need to continue developing its operations aligning with modern advancements and leveraging the Kingdom’s robust digital and legislative infrastructure.

H.E. Shaikh Khalifa bin Ebrahim expressed his gratitude for HRH Prince Salman’s support of Bahrain Bourse and his commitment to developing its role and operations.

Investment

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister emphasised the importance of financial markets in strengthening the Kingdom’s investment environment and creating broader opportunities, in line with the Kingdom’s comprehensive development goals led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

He highlighted the pivotal role of the Kingdom’s financial sector in supporting sustainable economic growth across diverse areas.

His Royal Highness recognised the significance of the recent “Market 2.0” Conference in promoting the exchange of expertise and the integration of technology within financial markets.
