New Agreement to Promote Mental Health in Bahrain Workplaces

Manama: Salwan Psychiatric Hospital and the Bahrain Free Federation of Trade Unions have signed a pact to promote mental health awareness in workplaces. The memorandum of understanding, signed on November 25, aims to provide joint therapeutic services, training programmes and awareness workshops for union members and their families.

The agreement includes discounted consultations and therapy sessions, as well as specialised training programmes in stress management, job burnout prevention, and work-life balance. The partnership will also launch an annual programme ‘Mental Health in the Workplace’ featuring psychological assessments and accredited certificates.

This collaboration reinforces Salwan Psychiatric Hospital’s commitment to mental health awareness in Bahrain, while the Bahrain Free Federation of Trade Unions emphasises its focus on workers' professional and social well-being. Both parties consider this partnership a significant step towards promoting mental health and creating a safe work environment.
