2027 Arab Games - HH Shaikh Nasser and HH Shaikh Khalid Praise Leadership

His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), President of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, extended heartfelt congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on Bahrain being awarded the honor of hosting the 2027 Arab Games for the first time.

HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad affirmed that hosting the 2027 Arab Games embodies the vision of His Majesty the King and the aspirations of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to position Bahrain as a premier sports destination. He praised HH Shaikh Khalid’s leadership and noted Bahrain’s successful hosting of the 3rd Asian Youth Games as evidence of its readiness for the Arab Games 2027.

HH Shaikh Khalid affirmed that the achievement reflects the leadership’s vision and commitment to advancing Bahrain’s sports sector. He also congratulated His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport, commending his efforts to position Bahrain as a leading regional hub for major sporting events.

HH Shaikh Khalid expressed appreciation to the Union of Arab National Olympic Committees for its confidence in Bahrain and extended gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the successful hosting of the General Assembly meetings. He pledged that Bahrain will deliver an exceptional edition of the 2027 Arab Games, strengthening Arab unity and showcasing the Kingdom’s advanced organizational capabilities.

During the 23rd General Assembly of the Union of Arab National Olympic Committees, HH Shaikh Khalid officially received the flag of the 2027 Arab Games, marking Bahrain’s readiness to host the region’s largest multi-sport event. The meeting also approved several key resolutions, including the Union’s 2025–2033 strategy and future games allocations.
