iGA Marks Tree Week with Green Drive
In line with the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) celebrated Tree Week with a tree-planting initiative at its Isa Town headquarters. The event, attended by senior management, aimed to promote environmental awareness and sustainability within the workplace and community.
iGA Chief Executive Mohammed Al Qaed praised His Royal Highness for launching this year’s Tree Week, noting its role in strengthening a culture of sustainability across Bahrain’s institutions. He also commended the directive to organize the Innovation in Irrigation Solutions Competition, designed to encourage the adoption of sustainable technologies for water conservation.
Al Qaed reaffirmed the iGA’s commitment to creating a greener work environment and contributing to national environmental goals. The initiative supports the National Afforestation Plan, which aims to double Bahrain’s tree count to 3.6 million by 2035.
