A women-led photography exhibition celebrating cultural connection between Bahrain and Italy has opened at the Bahrain National Museum.

Titled ‘Crossroads – a visual dialogue between Italy & Bahrain,’ the exhibition brings together four acclaimed photographers - Bahraini artists Hanan Al Khalifa and Ghada Khunji alongside Italian photographers Loredana Mantello and Valentina Costa - whose works explore shared perspectives through art.

Organised by the Embassy of Italy in collaboration with the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, the exhibition opened on Thursday and will run until November 5th. It forms part of the 21st edition of the Contemporary Art Day promoted by AMACI, the Association of Italian Contemporary Art Museums.

Italian Ambassador H.E. Andrea Catalano said the show embodies the spirit of cultural exchange and friendship. “The artists have captured moments of connection, enabling us to recognise each other as people at the centre of our own seas, crossed by many cultures,” His Excellency said.

BACA noted that the exhibition reflects a shared belief in art’s power to bridge distances and foster mutual understanding. Sponsored by Leonardo and Dadabhai Travel, the showcase invites visitors on a journey of reflection, dialogue, and discovery that celebrates enduring ties between Italy and Bahrain.
