Bahrain Steps Up Efforts to Develop Equestrian Sports
His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation, held talks with H.E. Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, to explore ways of strengthening cooperation between the federation and the ministry in support of equestrian and endurance sports.
The discussions focused on joint initiatives to develop infrastructure and provide greater support for riders and national talent, ensuring an enabling environment that will enhance Bahrain’s standing in the sport at both regional and international levels.
HH Shaikh Isa stressed that this partnership reflects the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the aspirations of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and the directives of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of HM the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Honorary President of the Federation.
“We attach great importance to working hand in hand with official entities to advance equestrian and endurance sports, which are a key part of Bahrain’s national identity,” HH Shaikh Isa said. “Our aim is to launch sustainable initiatives that elevate the sport and drive further achievements, enhancing the Kingdom’s global reputation in equestrianism.”
For his part, Minister Al Mubarak praised the efforts of the federation under the leadership of HH Shaikh Isa, affirming the ministry’s commitment to supporting this heritage-rich sport.
“We are keen to strengthen cooperation with the federation in developing equestrian facilities and ensuring their sustainability, in line with the Kingdom’s vision for excellence and progress across all sectors,” the minister said.
