U.S. Praises Bahrain for Global Anti-Trafficking Leadership
The U.S. Embassy in Manama has praised Bahrain for maintaining its Tier 1 status in the U.S. Department of State’s 2025 Trafficking in Persons (TIP) Report, marking the kingdom’s eighth consecutive year at the highest ranking.
In a statement, Chargé d’Affaires Elizabeth Litchfield said, “We commend Bahrain for once again earning Tier 1 status in the U.S. Department of State’s 2025 Trafficking in Persons Report. This accomplishment highlights Bahrain’s sustained dedication and leadership in the effort to end human trafficking.”
The TIP Report aims to encourage global action and strengthen cooperation in combating human trafficking. The U.S. Embassy in Manama expressed its commitment to continuing collaboration with the Government of Bahrain and the Labor Market Regulatory Authority to further advance these critical efforts.
