Bahrain Reaffirms Global Role in Promoting Peace and Tolerance

His Excellency Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, affirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain continues to launch pioneering initiatives that strengthen its influential role regionally and internationally in fostering coexistence and tolerance. He highlighted Bahrain’s longstanding position as a symbol of openness to diverse cultures and civilizations, and as a global example of peace among religions and nations.

HE Al-Saleh emphasized that these initiatives stem from the steadfast vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of Bahrain, who is dedicated to promoting global peace and building a better future for generations to come.

Among the most prominent initiatives, he pointed to the establishment of the King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence and the King Hamad Award for Global Peaceful Coexistence, both of which have taken on an international dimension and reflect His Majesty’s unique royal vision for strengthening security and peace worldwide.

HE Al-Saleh expressed deep pride in Bahrain’s global standing under the leadership of His Majesty the King, noting the Kingdom’s outstanding contributions to consolidating values of coexistence and tolerance, and its role in fostering peace between peoples. He credited these achievements to His Majesty’s enlightened vision and wise approach, which continue to promote a culture of peace and stability for all.

Marking the International Day of Peace, observed annually on September 21 under the theme “Act Now for Peaceful Societies”, the Shura Council Chairman praised Bahrain’s notable achievements made possible through the visionary leadership of His Majesty. He also commended the sincere efforts of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in strengthening Bahrain’s global reputation as a leading model of tolerance, coexistence, and peace among nations.

HE Al-Saleh stressed that the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s continuous support for peace-building initiatives and commitment to advancing stability and development underscore Bahrain’s advanced role in promoting dialogue among civilizations and nurturing values of coexistence and brotherhood. He concluded by expressing pride in Bahrain’s civilizational and humanitarian mission to entrench the principles of global peace and harmony.
