The Personal Data Protection Authority participated in the 47th Global Privacy Assembly (GPA), hosted in the city of Seoul, South Korea, from September 15 to 19.
Bahrain’s delegation was led by Saud Hassan Ali Al Nusuf, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to South Korea, and included Assistant Advisor Wael Anis, Abdullah Al Hajri, and Nada Bader.
The participation reflects the Authority’s commitment to further developing partnerships with counterpart organisations and keeping up to date with leading global practices in privacy governance and data protection.
The conference, held this year under the theme “Artificial Intelligence in Our Daily Lives: Data and Privacy Issues”, reviewed international experiences in regulating AI uses, developing data protection policies and legislation, and enhancing international cooperation to address shared challenges.
