Bahrain Participates in APA Economic Meeting

A delegation from Bahrain’s Parliamentary Division is participating in the Economic and Sustainable Development Committee meeting of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA), hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain from today until September 16. The event brings together around 70 members representing 15 countries.

The meetings serve as a platform to address key issues shaping Asia’s future, including economic development, climate change, and social challenges. They also strengthen parliamentary partnerships across the continent, support coordination among nations, and showcase Bahrain’s democratic achievements and active legislative role.

The session, chaired by MP Ahmed Sabah Al Salloom, Chairman of the Financial and Economic Affairs Committee in the Council of Representatives and APA Vice President, will review seven draft resolutions. These cover topics such as establishing an Asian energy market, environmental concerns, sustaining economic growth, supporting the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals, water and sanitation in Asian countries, the climate finance initiative, and electing members of the APA Bureau.
