Bahrain and Saudi Arabia to Launch Passenger Sea Route

Bahrain and Saudi Arabia are finalizing arrangements to launch a new passenger sea route connecting the two kingdoms, according to Saudi newspaper Al-Eqtisadiah.

Bahrain’s Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, Dr. Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, revealed the development during the Second Maritime Industries Sustainability Conference held in Jeddah. He said the initiative aims to strengthen maritime links between the two countries.

The minister also noted that discussions are ongoing to advance the King Hamad Causeway project, which is expected to further boost connectivity.

Joint efforts are currently focused on linking Bahrain’s Khalifa bin Salman Port with King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam. The project is expected to enhance maritime cooperation and expand passenger and cargo transport between the two nations.
