The announcement came during a press conference on Wednesday, August 27. The medals, designed in the classic gold, silver, and bronze, proudly carry the Games’ official emblem at the center. Surrounding it are artistic elements inspired by the word “Bahrain”, symbolizing the host nation’s culture and identity.
In total, 1,677 medals will be distributed across 24 sports disciplines — 505 gold, 503 silver, and 669 bronze.
Athletes will compete in a wide variety of sports, ranging from swimming, athletics, and badminton to more unique competitions such as camel racing, esports, and beach weightlifting.
