Omar Shaheen, CEO of Radio Bahrain, has announced his departure from the national music station after four years leading the organization. He shared the news on his LinkedIn page, calling his tenure “the honour of my career.”

During his leadership, Radio Bahrain underwent a significant transformation, evolving from a traditional radio broadcaster into a modern multimedia platform, while keeping the station’s cultural heritage at its core.

In his farewell message, Shaheen expressed gratitude to the station’s board, Chairman Khalid Mattar, and Mumtalakat for their guidance, as well as to H.E. Dr. Ramzan Bin Abdullah Al Noaimi, Minister of Information Affairs, for his support in advancing Bahrain’s media and broadcasting sector.

“I am incredibly proud of what our team has achieved,” Shaheen wrote. “Their creativity, passion, and dedication have driven every milestone, and I am grateful to our listeners, partners, and friends who have supported us along the way.”

Shaheen concluded by saying that Radio Bahrain will always hold a special place in his heart, and he looks forward to seeing the station continue to thrive in the future.
