Bahrain’s aviation sector saw a notable boost in July 2025, according to the latest statistics released by the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications. The numbers show significant growth in passengers, flights, and cargo compared to the same period last year.

A total of 865,753 passengers traveled through Bahrain last month, including 453,944 departures, 411,617 arrivals, and 192 in transit. The kingdom also recorded 8,748 aircraft movements, almost evenly split between departures and arrivals, with an additional 47,832 overflights. Cargo and mail activity reached 35,129 tons, including exports, imports, and transshipped goods.

International travel was a major driver of this growth. India topped the list, with Bengaluru and Hyderabad seeing a 117% rise, adding over 37,000 passengers. Abu Dhabi, UAE, followed with a 31% increase (57,301 passengers), while Doha, Qatar, recorded an 18% rise with 54,101 passengers.

The ministry said the figures reflect Bahrain’s expanding role as a regional aviation hub, supported by stronger international connections and growing trade activity.
