Bahrain’s Government Hospitals Host Specialized Training Program on Blood Sampling and IV Insertion

Bahrain’s Government Hospitals recently organized a specialized training program titled “Developing Blood Sampling and Intravenous (IV) Insertion Pathways”. The event was attended by Dr. Maryam Athbi Al-Jalahma, CEO of Government Hospitals, along with a group of distinguished doctors and healthcare specialists.

The program reflects the hospitals’ ongoing commitment to enhancing the quality of healthcare services and improving the skills of medical and nursing staff by adopting best practices and implementing the latest safety protocols.

Professor Omar Abdulaziz Al-Awadi, Head of the Training Department at Government Hospitals, emphasized the importance of strict adherence to infection control protocols and following approved policies and procedures to ensure the safety of both patients and healthcare workers.

The training included a comprehensive exhibition of medical training tools and highlighted efforts to improve practices related to blood sampling and IV insertion. Participants also attended a series of specialized lectures delivered by experts from various medical departments, including Anesthesia, Cardiology, Orthopedic Surgery, and Infection Control, enhancing the program’s educational and practical impact.
