British Airways to Resume Daily Flights Between London and Bahrain
Aviation media outlets have reported that British Airways will increase its flights between London and Bahrain from three times a week to a daily service starting at the end of October.
The airline will also switch to using the Boeing 777 wide-body aircraft instead of the Boeing 787, which has faced repeated technical issues with its Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engines.
Earlier this year, British Airways had considered suspending its Bahrain route starting March 2025. However, the airline reversed the decision and continued operating three weekly flights during the summer season. Now, it plans to ramp up to daily flights as the winter schedule begins.
Industry observers say the move reflects growing demand on the Bahrain–London route, restoring the service to its traditional daily schedule that travelers were accustomed to. The expansion is expected to offer more flexibility for both business and leisure passengers and further strengthen Bahrain International Airport’s role as a key regional hub connected to major global destinations.
Meanwhile, Bahrain’s national carrier, Gulf Air, continues to operate two daily flights to London, giving travelers from the Kingdom and the wider region even more options.
The Bahrain–London route is considered one of the oldest European connections in the Gulf region, serving as a vital air bridge for decades. The decision by British Airways to restore daily flights not only meets passenger demand but also carries historical and strategic significance.
