Regular Campaigns Launched to Remove Abandoned Food Trucks

The Capital Municipality has reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of public spaces through regular inspection campaigns and legal measures.

In response to a report published on August 22 regarding abandoned food trucks and facilities along the Karbabad coast, the municipality expressed appreciation to the media for highlighting issues that concern the community and support efforts to protect public spaces and the environment.

The municipality explained that it continuously monitors public sites, including inactive food trucks and abandoned structures, through routine inspection drives. Offenders are first notified to remove violations within the set legal timeframe, and if they fail to comply, the municipality proceeds with the necessary legal actions to safeguard the public view and ensure better use of shared spaces.

Special attention is being given to the Karbabad coast, a site of cultural and historical importance in Bahrain. As part of a wider plan, abandoned vehicles and structures are being cleared from the area, while support is being extended to Bahraini business owners to maintain a balance between development and environmental preservation.

The municipality emphasized that protecting the beauty and safety of Bahrain’s coasts and open spaces is a shared responsibility. It called for collaboration between government entities, business owners, and the community to ensure that waterfronts remain clean, attractive, and sustainable for future generations.
