Official data revealed that 428 ships arrived in Bahrain through Khalifa Bin Salman Port from the beginning of 2025 until the end of June, marking a 10% annual increase compared to the same period in 2024, which recorded 389 ships.

This growth in vessel traffic is supported by the ongoing recovery in commercial activity across Bahrain, the increase in imports and exports, the expansion of logistics services, and the port’s strategic location, which continues to attract regional and international shipping traffic.

February 2025 recorded the highest monthly arrivals in the first half of the year, with 82 ships — second only to December 2024, which saw 86 ships, the highest monthly total in over five years. In contrast, April 2025 recorded the lowest figure in the first half, with just 56 ships.

According to the data, the port received 77 ships in January, 82 in February, 68 in March, 56 in April, 70 in May, and 75 in June — totalling 428 ships in H1 2025.

In 2024, Khalifa Bin Salman Port welcomed 389 ships in the first half of the year. January saw 77 arrivals, followed by 68 each in February and March, 50 in April, 68 in May, and 58 in June. The second half of 2024 recorded 376 ships — 57 in July, 60 in August, 53 in September, 58 in October, 62 in November, and a record 86 in December.

Khalifa Bin Salman Port serves as Bahrain’s main maritime artery and a strategic hub for regional and international trade. It continues to post steady growth in vessel traffic year after year, benefiting from its vital geographic position, advanced infrastructure, and integrated logistics services. The port remains a key pillar in supporting the national economy and strengthening Bahrain’s competitiveness as a regional trade centre.
