Shura Council and King Hamad Center Join Hands to Promote Tolerance

Karima Mohammed Al Abbasi, Secretary-General of the Shura Council, praised the role of the King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence in reflecting Bahrain’s humanitarian and civilizational approach under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

She said the center embodies Bahrain’s commitment to coexistence, tolerance, openness, and peace, highlighting its pioneering contributions both locally and internationally.

Al Abbasi made these remarks while receiving Abdullah Isa Al Manai, Executive Director of the King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence. During the meeting, both sides stressed the importance of supporting joint initiatives and projects that strengthen values of citizenship and openness. The Shura Council also expressed readiness to collaborate with the center on initiatives aimed at enhancing parliamentary and community awareness, reinforcing Bahrain’s global reputation as a model of religious and cultural coexistence.

Al Manai expressed his pride in working with the Shura Council and commended its legislative and oversight role. He reaffirmed the center’s commitment to institutional partnerships that help solidify Bahrain’s position as a global example of peace and tolerance.
