Regency Intercontinental A clinched the trophy for a second time after defeating Ritz-Carlton B by 18 runs in the final of the Fourth Inter-Hotel Charity Cricket Tournament, 2015 at the Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain Hotel and Spa recreation area on Monday evening.
After winning the toss and electing to bat, Regency InterContinental notched up 47 for five in six overs thanks to a fine individual knock by man of the match Imran Sajjad (23 off 13 deliveries, 3x4, 1x6) with support from Majed (7 off 3, 1x6), while Iftikhar (three for 10) was the best of the bowlers along with Saleem (one for one).


Regency began slowly and finished the first over at one for one, but after reaching 23 for two after four overs, they doubled their total in the final two overs thanks to Imran.
Ritz Carlton were bowled out for 29 in 5.1 overs with Sudesh (9 off 9 balls 1x6) and Iftikhar 6 off 12) top scoring as Qamar (one for three) and Adnan (one for six) returned fine figures.
The Ritz-Carlton started positively and were 13 without loss in reply after two overs and slightly ahead at 24 for two after four overs.
However, under pressure Ritz Carlton lost its last four wickets for just five runs and hand victory to Regency InterContinental, watched by around 400 enthusiastic supporters.


Earlier in the semi-finals, Ritz-Carlton B upset defending two-time champions Ritz-Carlton A and Regency InterContinental A ensured its place in the final with a seven-run win against Sheraton.
During the prize presentation Ritz-Carlton Hotel and Spa General Manager, Christian Zandonella handed over a cheque for $10,000 raised to official charity partner Bahrain Hope Institute for Special Education representative and its art and pottery teacher, Ms. Mariam Mohammed Khalid Al Ghurair.

Results (Semi-finals): Ritz-Carlton B 41/6 in 5.5 overs (Tahir 17 off 12, 2x6, Saleem 10 off 3, 1x4, 1x6, Tharindu 1/2, Naeem 1/4) bt Ritz-Carlton A 28 all out in 5.2 overs (Adnan 12 off 12, 1x4,  Sudesh 2/5, Saleem 1/4) by 13 runs.

Man of the Match: Tahir.

Regency A 47/5 in 6 overs (Qamar 13 off 6, 1x4, 1x6, Adnan 9 off 13, 1x4, Vipin 2 for 12), Angelo 1/2 bt Sheraton 40/5 in 6 overs (Angelo 14 off 15, 1x6), Aminul (8 off 8, 1x6), Imran (2/7, Adnan 1/1) by 7 runs.

Man of the Match: Imran.
