HM King Hamad Receives Syrian President in Sakhir Palace

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the esteemed King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, today welcomed His Excellency President Ahmad Al-Shar’a of the sisterly Syrian Arab Republic at Sakhir Palace. The visit comes as part of the Syrian President’s official trip to the Kingdom.

The meeting was held in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Upon his arrival at Sakhir Palace, President Al-Shar’a was received with a warm welcome and greeted senior Bahraini officials. His Majesty the King also extended a personal welcome to members of the official Syrian delegation accompanying the President.

His Majesty expressed his sincere wishes for President Al-Shar’a's success in fulfilling the aspirations of the Syrian people and reaffirmed the deep-rooted ties between the two nations.

President Al-Shar’a, in turn, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to His Majesty the King for the generous hospitality and warm reception, commending Bahrain’s supportive stance towards Syria and its people.

The two leaders discussed various aspects of the bilateral relationship and explored opportunities for further cooperation in multiple sectors. Regional developments and ongoing efforts to address key issues in the region were also reviewed.

Additionally, discussions covered the latest developments in Syria and ways to support its security and stability.

Following the talks, His Majesty the King hosted a luncheon in honor of President Al-Shar’a and his accompanying delegation.
