Bahrain has reaffirmed its status as a rising global luxury tourism destination with the successful hosting of the third edition of ‘Connections Luxury Bahrain’, held in partnership with Jacobs Media Group and attended by 30 elite travel companies from the UK, Germany, France, and China.

The three-day event concluded on Tuesday evening with a ceremony at Jumeirah Gulf of Bahrain Resort, attended by Her Excellency Fatima bint Jaffar Al-Sairafi, Minister of Tourism.

The initiative is part of efforts to attract high-end tourism and boost Bahrain’s international presence as a premium destination.

Infrastructure Highlighted

In her closing remarks, the minister said Bahrain’s advanced infrastructure played a key role in enhancing its position on the global tourism map.

She added that the event helped connect Bahraini hotels and tourism operators with international partners, furthering the goals of the national tourism strategy for 2022–2026.

Global Engagement

Guests took part in bilateral meetings at the Ritz-Carlton and Jumeirah Bahrain Bay hotels, while site visits were arranged to the Four Seasons, Ritz-Carlton, Sofitel, and the Bahrain International Circuit.

A select group also stayed at Hawar Bay Mantis, a flagship eco-tourism resort. Turani, Director of Marketing and Promotion at the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA), said Bahrain is committed to hosting high-profile tourism events to showcase the exceptional quality of its hospitality sector.

Strategic Positioning

The event aimed to build long-term partnerships between Bahrain’s luxury tourism stakeholders and their global counterparts, while promoting the Kingdom’s world-class hotels, unique destinations, and investment in major tourism infrastructure projects.
