Spectra 2015 Grand Finale held
The Grand Finale of the seventh Faber-Castell ‘Spectra 2015’ was held on Friday, at the Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam Auditorium at 7 pm.
‘Spectra 2015’, The Annual Art Carnival, organised by the Indian Community Relief Fund (ICRF), had an overwhelming response this year. ICRF works under the patronage of the Embassy of India, Bahrain.
Almost 1,300 children of different nationalities and 20 schools in Bahrain participated in the art competition in three age categories held on November 6. The results were declared and the winners were honoured at the Grand Finale by Indian Ambassador to Bahrain Alok Kumar Sinha.
Participants were divided into four age groups - 5 to 8 years, 8 to 11 years, 11 to 13 years and 14 to 18
years.
The winning entries and other outstanding creations by the children will figure in wall and desktop calendars for the year 2016. These calendars and planners were released at the function by the Indian envoy.
The Title Sponsor of the event was Faber Castell, who has been supporting this event from its inception. Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam and Indian School provided the venue for the events. Main sponsors of the event were UAE Exchange, MRS Fashion and Lulu Hypermarket.
Proceeds from the competition will go towards providing relief to families of Indian labourers deceased in Bahrain and drawing wages below BD100 per month.
The Indian School, The Asian School, The New Indian School, Sacred Heart School, New Millennium School, New Horizon School, Al Noor International School, Ibn Al Haytham School, British School of Bahrain, St. Christopher’s School, Quality Education School, Abdurrahman Kanoo International School, Ebenezer School Philippine School and Al Naseem International School participated in the competition.
