AIDA Stella cruise ship docks in Bahrain
Industry, Commerce and Tourism Ministry Assistant Undersecretary for Tourism Shaikh Khalid bin Humood Al Khalifa received at Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Port in Hidd cruise ship "AIDA Stella" as part of the new cruise ship season in Bahrain.
He welcomed the crew members and honoured the ship Captain with a commemorative gift depicting the Dilmun civilisation. He also praised choosing Manama as a stop in their trip, wishing them a good stay in Bahrain to learn about its touristic features.
The cruise ship season will continue till March with around 32 ships to dock in Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Port carrying about 1500 to 2000 tourists from all over the world.
As a result of the 2500 passengers travelling aboard AIDA Stella, the old Manama Suq and Bab Al-Bahrain grew more vibrant. Sightseeing tours have also been scheduled for the visitors to learn about the kingdom's main landmarks.
