Civil Defence deals with 51 rain-related cases
The Civil Defence today dealt with a total of 51 rain-related cases from 2:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The civil defence personnel dealt with 24 cases related to drain waters at homes and establishments, 16 electricity-related cases and 11 cases to assist in removing vehicles in unsafe places.
"The department spares no efforts to provide more equipment and tools to deal with rain and floods", General Director of Civil Defence said. He called upon the public to call 999 in case they seek assistance because of the rain, pointing out that the department has implemented the seasonal plan to ensure safe rainy season.
