Build a community of shared future for mankind and realize mutual benefit and win-win result

On the auspicious occasion of the double happiness of the Islamic New Year and the coming Chinese traditional Mid-Autumn Festival, on behalf of the Chinese Embassy in Bahrain, I would like to extend my sincere greetings and best wishes to all the Bahraini friends and Chinese nationals in Bahrain.

Firstly, Mid-Autumn Festival marks the season of harvest. In 2017, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core, has promoted the coordinated development of the “Four Comprehensives” to accomplish a moderately prosperous society, deepen reform, advance rule of law, strengthen strict Party governance, and chart the course for conducting major-country diplomacy with Chinese features, which make new and great contribution to realize the Chinese dream of national renewal and achieve lasting peace and common development of the world. 

In the first half of this year, China’s economy grew by 6.9% and accounted for over 30% of world economic increment. China continues to remain the world’s second largest economy, first biggest foreign exchange reserve country and second biggest outbound investment country. 

In May, China hosted the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation in Beijing. All the honored guests of 29 presidents and premiers and over 1500 representatives from 130 countries and 70 international organizations have made common consensus on development strategic synergy in keeping with the principle of extensive consultation, joint contribution and shared benefits, which will continue to work for bigger progress in the Belt and Road Initiative to enhance policy coordination, facilities connectivity, unimpeded trade, financial integration and people-to-people bond. 

The 9th BRICS Summit and Dialogue of Emerging Market and Developing Countries which just successfully concluded in Xiamen, China, reviewed the BRICS cooperation of the past decade, mapped out a blueprint for its future development and set sail on a new journey of second “Golden Decade” of BRICS cooperation. The new proposed “BRICS+” model will lend a strong impetus to deepening South-South cooperation and global development cooperation.

Currently, China is experiencing and undergoing the most prosperous and flourishing development. China has never been so close to the center of the world stage, so close to fulfilling the Chinese dream of national renewal, so confident and able to realize this goal. China is always ready to joint hands with all the people in the world to realize mutual benefit and win-win result and build a human community with shared destiny.

Secondly, Mid-Autumn Festival represents the season of reunion. Friendship between China and Bahrain dates back to ancient times and old Silk Road. Since the establishment of diplomatic ties of 28 years, our bilateral relations have kept favorable momentum of development. The high-level exchanges have become more frequent, mutual trust has been constantly strengthened, economic cooperation has been greatly promoted, cultural and educational exchanges have achieved great success. China and Bahrain have become a friendly partner of mutual understanding and trust, a cooperative partner of win-win result and a respectable partner of learning from each other and mutual benefit.

I do believe that the comprehensive cooperation between China and Bahrain is bound to face great and historical opportunity, especially with the integration and implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative and Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030, and our bilateral relations will have more beautiful prospects!

All the Chinese nationals in Bahrain are the witnesses and contributors of the bilateral friendship and cooperation. The Chinese Embassy and all the Chinese nationals in Bahrain will unite up to make great efforts to promote the economic and social development of Bahrain and write the new chapter for our bilateral relations.

Thirdly, Mid-Autumn Festival symbolizes the season of new hope. The 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China will convene on 18 October in Beijing. The congress is a very important meeting to be held when China is striving for its final victory for achieving a moderately prosperous society in an all-round way, and at a critical time for the development of socialist with Chinese characteristics. China’s domestic and foreign policy will definitely keep stable and countinious. The congress will thoroughly examine the current international and domestic situation, take into account the new requirements for the development of the Party and the country as well as new expectations from the people, and draw out guidelines and policies that respond to the call of the times, to achieve the final victory of building a moderately prosperous society in an all-round way and to create new prospect for socialism with Chinese characteristics!
