Bahrain condemns terrororist attacks in Pakistan, Egypt

Manama : Bahrain has strongly condemned the suicide attack which targeted a police vehicle in Peshawar, killing two security officials and wounding several others.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its deep condolences to the families of the victims and wished the injured a speedy recovery, vowing solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in its war on terror and efforts to establish security and peace.

The Kingdom also condemned the terrorist attack in the city of El-Arish in Egypt, which resulted in the death of five security personnel and wounding of several others.

Terrorists on Monday opened fire on an armoured vehicle before setting it ablaze in the city of el-Arish. When reinforcements arrived, the militants set off a roadside bomb, killing and wounding the security personnel.

The Foreign Ministry affirmed Bahrain’s support to Egypt and Pakistan, backing all measures taken to maintain security and stability.

“The ministry reiterates the unyielding stance of the Kingdom of Bahrain that rejects terrorism of all forms and calls for concerted international efforts to eliminate this dangerous phenomenon and counter anyone who supports or funds it, so as to maintain the world’s security and peace,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
