Leaders capable of  safeguarding  security  of region : PM

ManamaPrime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has expressed full confidence in the ability of the leaders of the countries of the region to safeguard its security and stability, and to address the challenges it is facing, as well as terrorism which is aimed at subverting the security and stability of its peoples.

HRH Premier warned that terrorism is development’s first enemy and major challenge facing it, stressing that Bahrain enhances its development process and counters terrorism.

The Prime Minister emphasised that all countries should rally together in combating terrorism, calling for taking firm stances against terrorism and its funding, as the best means to protect countries’ capabilities and achievements.

HRH Premier lauded the patriotic stances expressed by the Bahraini people, praising the role played by the national press in enlightening the public opinion, voicing pride in its commendable responsible stances aiming to ensure the kingdom’s interests.

The Prime Minister was speaking as he received, at the Gudaibiya Palace yesterday, Royal Family members, and senior state officials, as well as intellectual and cultural figures, businessmen and citizens, with whom he tackled a number of domestic and international issues.

HRH the Prime Minister asserted that the government will continue following up on development projects, stressing that challenges will never affect the government’s resolve to honour its commitment to providing the best services for the citizens and ensuring decent living for them.

Prince Khalifa affirmed that the urban boom and the advanced real estate projects witnessed by the kingdom reflect the determination of the government and the people to overcome all challenges in order to ensure that Bahrain always remains prosperous and a progress role model.

HRH Premier expressed pride in the Bahraini citizens’ keenness on protecting their country’s security and stability in the midst of the events and developments currently shaking the region, stressing the importance of adhering to national unity and cohesion among members of society, as the best means to maintain the nation’s gains.

HRH the Prime Minister lauded the role played by journalist and columnists to foster patriotic feelings through their in-depth and rational ideas and articles, as well as their enlightened visions that are aware of various challenges.

The Bahraini Press has been and will remain a platform to enlighten the public opinion and encourage it to contribute more to efforts to maintain the nation’s security and stability, in addition to its “vital” role in highlighting the citizens’ concerns, HRH Premier said.

Those present lauded HRH Premier’s Majlis, noting that it reflects the outstanding leadership-people cohesion and interaction.

They also praised the Prime Minister’s directives, and keenness to interact with the citizens and respond to the remarks they make, which, they said, proves his interest in Bahrainis’ daily life issues.
