New curricula to boost skills: Minister
Manama : Several new curricula will be introduced next year in the various stages of education, the ministry of education has said.
“We will also ameliorate some of the curricula, including those in the kindergartens, to ensure that we keep abreast with the latest trends in learning and acquiring skills,” Dr. Majid Al Nuaimi said.
“The curricula are the core of the learning process and we are keen on improving them so that we are always up to international standards,” the minister said as he received guests at his Ramadan majlis.Arabic, English, Maths, civil education, religious education and IT will receive special attention, he said.
“Teachers will be given specific training programmes to ensure they have the adequate tools and skills to deal with the new and improved curricula and therefore be able to instil the new knowledge in the students,” he said.
“The ministry will provide digital books to boost electronic learning and online education in the kingdom,” he added.
