RCO opens investment towers

Manama : The Royal Charity Organisation (RCO) yesterday opened two investment towers (Abraj Al Khair) as part of its move to diversify financial resources and support its affiliates. 

The inauguration was held in the presence of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King’s Personal Representative for Charity Work and Youth Affairs and the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Royal Charity Organisation (RCO). 

The opening ceremony was also attended by RCO Secretary-General, Dr Mustafa Al Sayed Al Ameen, senior state officials, ministers and officials from various government departments.

Speaking on the occasion, His Highness Shaikh Nasser said, “Revenue from the 23-storey towers will benefit RCO-supported families.”

While highlighting the benefits, Shaikh Nasser said the project was the result of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s effort to ensure a permanent source of income for RCO and a better future for RCO’s affiliates.

“HM the King donated the land in Sanabis to construct the two towers,” said Shaikh Nasser.  

Shaikh Nasser also hailed the support of the government, led by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and the backing of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister.

Shaikh Nasser stressed that RCO will continue providing its services in a creative way which reflects His Majesty the King’s interest in providing services for the citizens.
