India to host Brave

ManamaThe fifth edition of Brave Combat Federation Championship will be held in India on April 22 at the Dome National Sports Club of India Stadium in Mumbai, announced HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Honorary President of the Bahrain Mixed Martial Arts Association, Founder of Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa Mixed Martials Organisation (KHK MMA).

The event is organised by the Brave Combat Federation that emanated from KHK MMA in collaboration with India Mixed Martial Arts Association.

Shaikh Khalid directed BRAVE Combat Federation to finish most of the procedures to host the championship as India is one of the Asian countries witnessing widespread popularity of this sport and to strengthen Bahrain-India ties at sports level.

He also valued the strong cooperation with the UAE Jiu Jitsu Federation at the Brave 4 hosted by Abu Dhabi over the weekend.

Shaikh Khalid crowned Algerian fighter, Elias Boudegzdame with the first BRAVE belt after he defeated Mexican fighter Masio Fullen, in the first round.

In other matches, Lebanese fighter Mohammad Fakhreddine knocked out Brazil’s Marcus Vinicius Cruz  after two rounds, it took Morrocan fighter Ottman Azaitar three minutes to defeat Briton Charlie Leary in the first round of the match.

In attendance was Brazilian fighter Criss Cyborg a guest of honor and UFC Champion and Irish coach who trains international champion Conor McGregor, who has two UFC belts.
